Sydney Opera House, Allen Lewis Fountain

The Allen Lewis Fountain is located on a roundabout at the end of Macquarie Street, near the entrance to the Sydney Opera House. It was donated by Concrete Constructions Group as a tribute to its founder Allen C. Lewis who contributed to the growth of the construction industry throughout Australia.

  1. Such an elegant fountain, filled with simple grace. Beautiful complements the Opera House design.

  2. What a great idea for the Concrete Constructions Group to honour Allen Lewis. I hope there is a plaque on the fountain to explain Lewis' importance.

    1. According to the link I provided, there is an inscription but I didn't happen to notice it when I visited yesterday.

  3. I can imagine it bursting the water high in the air. Great shot Jim!
